THE BURLESQUE OF FOOD!

We will go through great lengths to delay our satisfaction…this often increases our enjoyment…

Especially when we know what’s under the proverbial lid, we have
the need to wait, to play, to savor the moment and allow room for
imagination before we expose an otherwise predictable outcome.

Everyday food requires this delayed gratification to remain appetizing despite repetitive servings that otherwise might dull the palate.

By designing the structures and barriers that support the tease, we are designing minor ceremonies. In doing so we celebrate the actions and emotions of the user, and by celebrating these activities, we celebrate the simple moments that fill our lives with flavor.
